Playful Spirits is me, She Fay. I have been involved in the Lesbian and Gay community producing and participating in cultural events since 1990. I was with the Jacksonville Gay Chorus as director of the wimmin's ensemble,"Synergy" which took off on their own and became the famous world renowned group, "Full Circle Round". (Okay, slight exaggeration...) Several years later and several groups later, the band "In the Mood" was born. It was then the concept of "family night" came to mind...a place for lesbians and gays to meet in St. Augustine and enjoy good music, good food and good company. In The Mood performed along with other musicians at the Manatee Cafe, the MCC Church and then at the NYC (New York City) Gay-friendly Cafe. In 2005, the NYC was replaced by Flavors Eatery, serving delicious lunches and dinners and catering to local musicians. They are also gay friendly and we urge all of you to support this fine establishment.
